Note: Deadlines and advertising rates for National Newsline are subject to change. These rates are current as of February 20, 2008.

Circulation

The Canadian Authors Association’s National Newsline is printed quarterly with a circulation of 700. CAA members live mostly in Canada, with a few abroad.

Current issues as well as archived issues are posted on our website where members may access them. Since August 2006 a 6-page version has also been made available to the public on our Website.

Our light edition will give you an idea of what each issue contains.

Deadlines:

  • June 10 for July issue
  • September 10 for October issue
  • December 5 for January issue
  • March 10 for April issue

Mechanicals

  • Full page 7.25" x 9.5"
  • Half page 9.25" x 3.5"
  • Quarter page 3.5" x 4.5"
  • Business-card size 3.5" x 2"

 

We accept jpg. and tif. files in email attachments. Please send the information you want included in the ad in the body of a plain-text email to , National Newsline Editor, prior to the deadline for the issue you wish your ad to appear. Please use an appropriate subject line (e.g. Newsline) to ensure your message is appropriately forwarded.

CAA Branch Piggy-Back Insert Service

Each branch of the CAA is allowed free insert service, $400.00 value. Up to two pages at one time may be sent along with National Newsline.

You might want to make prior arrangements with , National Newsline Editor, to ensure that there is space available for the issue you plan to include your insert.
