Research for Writers provides custom research services on any topic to novelists, screenwriters, nonfiction writers, speechwriters, TV producers and writers, editors, and others.

These organizations provide financial support to established writers in need.

The Canadian Writers' Foundation (Helping Canadian Writers in Need) is a registered charity with only one aim — to help Canada's senior writers when they fall on hard times.
The Woodcock Fund provides support funding to published writers who are having hard times or need to support themselves while finishing a book.
