The Canadian Authors Association is Canada's national writing organization.

Founded in 1921, the CAA has played a key role in the support and development of the Canadian writing community.

The CAA has charitable status as a registered National Arts Service Organization (NASO).

Making Tax-Deductible Contributions

Tax-deductible Charitable Receipts

As a registered NASO, the CAA is entitled to issue tax-deductible charitable receipts for donations. Donations are essential for continuation of our programs.

Contributing to a Specific Program

If a donor wishes to contribute to a specific program (such as the Awards Program) or to the activities of one of the CAA's branches, this should be indicated and the funds will be allocated to the identified program or Branch.

Must Be Payable to CAA National

All donations must, however, be paid to the National organization.

Cheques should be payable to "Canadian Authors Association" or "CAA" if you wish to obtain a tax-deductible charitable receipt. Payments made out to "Literary Awards" or to a particular branch, for example, are not eligible.
