Making Tax-Deductible Contributions

Tax-deductible Charitable Receipts

As a registered National Arts Service Organization, the CAA is entitled to issue tax-deductible charitable receipts for donations. Since we receive no taxpayer-funded support due to our policy of admitting aspiring writers as members, donations are essential for continuation of our programs.

Contributing to a Specific Program

If a donor wishes to contribute to a specific program (such as the Awards Program) or to the activities of one of the CAA's branches, this should be indicated and the funds will be allocated to the identified program or Branch.

Must Be Payable to CAA National

All donations must, however, be paid to the National organization. For example, cheques should be payable to "Canadian Authors Association" or "CAA" rather than to "Literary Awards" or to a particular branch if you wish to obtain a tax-deductible charitable receipt.
