Destination Information
About Victoria
Victoria's Capital Regional District (CRD) is comprised of 13 municipalities and is often referred to as simply Greater Victoria because the City of Victoria is only a portion.
Located on the southern tip of Vancouver Island, Greater Victoria lies completely below the 49th parallel. Protected by the Sooke Hills (small mountains to the north) and the Olympic Mountains to the west, the "garden city" enjoys a mild sub-Mediterranean climate.
Victoria has loads of things to do and probably more restaurants and cafes per capita than anywhere else in the world.
